Well, it's been a few weeks. Here is what I have been up to. Took the last week of my vacations for this year. Spent 3 days cleaning the kitchen grout on the ceramic floors and celing them. They look like new. Got one of those H2O mops to keep it looking that way.
I spend 4 days in Toronto with Candice. We went to the \ROM and the Science Center, both were incrediable and I think I need to go again, I am sure there is stuff we missed or didnt spend enough time with the first time out.
My sinuses have been killing me. I cant wait for the first frost. The doctor gave me an antibiotic but it did not work so I will have to go back and get something else. He told me when you blow your nose if it clear snot there is nothing to worry about, but if its green, then thats an infection that can only be fought with and anitbiotics, but the one he gave me did not work so back to the drawing board.
Since I lost the ten pounds he told me to, my liver enzimes have come down, so now I have to stay away from fatty foods. Oh and yeah, I have to excersise more. Apparently getting up to turn the tv on and off is not considered excersise. Other than that everyone here is good. Mom will be coming home soon. It sounded like she had a good time and got to visit alot of people on her trip. Till next time

Hello in blog land, I tried to email David and my account at hotmail would not let me send it to his email. The next time someone e-mail him, make sure he is ready our blogs and that way we can talk to him and not have to worry about downloading an entirely new account. Then again, maybe we are being sensored, I swear, there was nothing inappropriate in it.
And to Monica, yes I am sure your earliest memories of me is toting around a klennex box. Now its both Candice and I fighting over the klennex boxes. They are saying it has been the worst year to date for allergies in this area, even people who have never had problems before are now suffering from allery symtoms. I guess I will just have to wait it out. I start my last week of my vacation for this year. I get another 4 weeks on my anniversary date the end of January. I will be doing my fall cleaning, the furnace and air conditioning people are comming on Monday, I will get all my latest test results on Tuesday, flower beds on Wednesday, rest on Thursday, and visiting Candice on Friday and science center on Saturday and home again on Sunday and then back to work Monday. So I will be very busy next week.

I hate alergy season. Sick, sick, sick and did I mention sick. All week, sneezing, itchy watery eyes and all the ache and pains that come with it. I spend the afternoon in the pool. To He** with the pollen. My rose bushes that should be starting to die off for the fall now have three new loverly roses on them. My day lillies that have gone to seed are now reblooming. and while everything looks beautiful, my sinuses can do without. Oh well, a little sneezing for a great looking front yard, maybe the trade off is not that bad.

Mr sun, sun, Mr golden sun, please shine down on me. Yes finally a day of sunshine, I woke up with my sinuses acting up, they haven't bothered me in quite some time. I took a benadryl and it totally knocked me out, got up at 8, fell asleep on the couch at 10, Garry woke me up at 1 to see if I was going to spend any time in the pool. I went out and fell asleep in the sun, Candice woke me up at about 3.30, Yes I got sunburned, not bad though, came in and Garry went out and go chinese food for supper, fell asleep on the couch again around 6, woke up at 9.30 went to bed and didnt get up until 8 this morning with a headache that feels like a hangover. No more benadryl for me. and yes my sinuses are still bothering me. but i think i will let mother nature take its course today and make sure there are no more drugs in my system before i take anything else. it looks like it is going to be another nice day today, a little cloudy but very humid so i am ok with that, i can still enjoy the pool and this time i wont have to worry about burning an top of my burn.

more rain, more rain, more rain, and yeah more rain. More thunder and lightning, at least we are getting a good show out of this, and then of course the power outages, thank god for back up batteries. I am sure this weather will clear up one of these days.

I spend most of my vacation in the pool. Unfortunately it was more about cleaning out the algy from all the rain and less about just enjoying the pool. Just when it seems like th sun is going to come out and stay, we get more rain. I am sooooo sick of rain. we better some pool weather soon. I think I am having withdrawls.

Best birthday gift ever, worse birthday gift ever. I got a DSL for my birthday and I am addicted and have been playing it since my birthday instead of blogging or updating facebook. sorry guys, between the pool and the game, I will be incognito all summer.

So much to do, so little time to do it in. At least with it raining all week I did not have to worry about watering my gardens, front and back. We went up North yesterday to celebrate Christopher's graduation, it rained earlier in the day then got sunny in the afternoon. Today we went clothes shopping for Candice for work. We founds some nice tops and a couple of nice summer dresses and sandles, so she is good for the rest of the summer. Next project is for me to make a dress for a wedding on the 2nd of August that Candice and I will be going to in Toronto. It is going to be a big Italian wedding, sound like alot of fun. I suck at getting around to answering e-mails so that's next on my list of things to do on a raining day when I cant hang out at the poolside. Like today.

relay for life

just a few photo's , our team raised $5300.00.

I raised $550.00, so thank you to everyone who helped out, our top earner was caroline with $812.00, so she got the $2000.00 matching grant, but it was still no wheres near the top idividual earner. This year the lowerest earned was $7000.00 and the hightest $18,000.00 single. groupt was lowest $23,000.00 and highest $25,000.00. It was alot of fun and we stayed up all night and participated in all the events to keep us going. We didnt win any of them ,but at our age it's hard to win a patoto sac race against a bunch of 16 years old. I would love to see the rest of you try that.

blog, blog,blog,blog finally an update

Well one more day and it will be Candice moving time. We are taking her up on Sunday and I will stay there one night and take the train back on Monday after she is settled in and all her stuff put away. I should be able to loose those extra pounds I lost and put back on between her
being gone six weeks and losing 8 lbs and gaining back 4 in the 3 weeks she has been home.
The pool hit 66 degrees today a couple more and it will be perfect. If only the sun could stay out long enough for me to enjoy it. I hope it doesnt rain all summer like last year. I really only got in a couple of good weeks of swim time with it going in so late and then all the rain we got in August.
Everyone keep your fingers and toes crossed. I made another towel wedding cake. Garry's niece is getting married and the shower is next sunday in toronto so mom and i are going up with garrys aunt jean anne. This one is while towels with red roses. It\s hard to make for someone you dont really know so I hope she likes it.
A picture of Garry's shed will be comming soon. It should be completed by next weekend. It is comming along really good. The neighbour across the road is building it and he is doing a great job. I will proberly last longer than the house and we might be living in it eventually. He is also going to build a loft in the garage to put all the summer stuff away for the winter so it wont have to go into my basement giving me more space for my sewing room and I will actually be able to park my car in there during the winter. No more scraping off windsheilds. I am really begining to like this guy.

I had my relay for life yardsale saturday, it went very well. I ended up with $496.00. I had alot of stuff donated from the neighbours to help me out. I had a few large a mini fridge that went of $50.00, a computer and desk that our neighbour from Whites rd bought along with the computer desk for $70.00 and a violin that a guy at work gave me to sell it went for $75.00. It was a beginners model and was only $200.00 new so I was happy for to get what I did. I would not have gone lower. I would have donated it to our adopt a school's music program instead.
So I am well on my way to my goal. The person who gets the most pledges on our teams will get to add the $2000.00 cheque from Wal-mart putting them in the top pledges catagory, so the battle is on. Wish me luck

When is a bedroom not a bedroom? When it's a solarium. Yes Candice's new bedroom is going to be a solarium. She will be renting the small room for $595.00 a month. The ad read, if all you need is a roof over your head then the benifits outweight the space and she wasn't kidding.
The room mate works 3-11pm Candice works 8.30-4.30 so they will never see each other. The $595.00 includes, everything, cable, movies on demand, wireless internet, washer, dryer, dishwasher, heat, hydro, phone, and the use of the entire apartment, so who cares that the room only fits a single bed, a dresser, and a bookshelf, all she ever has to go in there for is to sleep.
The building is a security building with security on site, 24 hr grocery store. 24 hr library, indoor and outdoor jaquzi and a sauna and a gym. So looks like I have to make some BIG A** curtains to cover her door, since its all glass.
