My roses are 3 years old now and doing great. see the not so dead hosta next to it. it was suppose to be dead, i didnt have the heart to throw it out so i replanted it here and look what happend. a miracle.
Brenda, your roses looks very nice next to the brick colour...do you remember what variety it is?
Also, hostas die right down to the earth in the winter to come back to life every spring...takes a lot to kill them and yes if they get too big, you can divide them into smaller ones. I have one that is out growing its bed...its ~ 5 feet across!
